www.svgtourism.com
St Vincent & the Grenadines official Government Office of Tourism site - very much improved and up to date if you have not looked at it for a while
Official Site of the Government of St Vincent & the Grenadines
This recently launched site has information about the various Ministries of the Government, general facts about the country. Hello cyber-space, SVG has landed.
Patsy Douglas Youth Empowerment Foundation. helps students in St Vincent and Maryland. The Foundation was set up in tribute to the late Sister Patrica Douglas who died in May 2005 in a car accident. Sister Pat was the Principal of St Joseph Convent Marriaqua Secondary School. In 1991, she was the first principal in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to give teenage mothers a chance to obtain an education. A pregnant high school teen in the Caribbean is forbidden to attend high school during or after pregnancy.

PLEASE DONATE OR JUST VISIT THE WEB SITE AND READ MORE ABOUT THE WORK OF SISTER PAT AND HER LEGACY. Click on Sister Pat to donate

Bill Tewes - Dive St Vincent
If you love underwater critters, Bill's award winning and long running dive shop can show you round the critter capital of the Caribbean.
Russ Filman's site
Russ is very dedicated in his pursuit of web links. He is a Bequia resident in winter - lucky him!
Hans Baer's site
A quirky little site with his descriptions of various trips in St Vincent. Also a very interesting account about Caribs (the first Vincentians) written before the island was taken over by slave masters.
Scuba Mom
Scuba Mom rocks. I've never met her but she goes to St Vincent every year and that make her OK by me.
Karl Eklund's site
If you thought Hans' site quirky - then check out Karl's. Not only has affection filled prose for all that is SVG but links to his articles on racism, global corporatism and his own personal vision for the world. Big up the Eklund. He also has an explanation of Rastafari - bless you for trying Karl.
Tony Mitchell's site
Another personal site set up by a Bequian living in Canada - worth a look at.
Tony's Oldies
Fascinating photos of St Vincent from 1890s onwards
St Vincent and the Grenadines Geneology Research
A resource for information related to the history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for those interested in genealogical research. Good work from Cheryl Hazell now living in Canada.
Guardian article
Nice but dated article by Hank Wangford who is a cool dude for a gynecologist who likes country music.
Article on Caribs/Arawaks
This is a fascinating article by Kim Johnson from www.raceandhistory.com (a Trinidad based site).
www.trinicenter.com
This site is based in Trinidad & Tobago so not strictly relevant to a Vincy site. It always has some great articles. Check out the links to Rasta Times and Roots Woman which are part of the same organisation.
Caribbean Banana Exporters Association
Up to date news on the plight of our banana growers and the industry. Please support our farmers by buying Windward Isle bananas and asking your supermarket to stock them. Let our farmers know not to give up and you want their products. The decline in production means the Windward Isles does not have full shipments and we rely on growers in the Domincan Republic to take up the spare capacity. A natural disaster in Dominican Republic would wipe us out completely as shipping would be uneconomic.
Banana Link
The web site of the British campaigning organisation which in their words aims to alleviate poverty and prevent further environmental degradation in banana exporting communites and to work towards a sustainable banana economy.
Essay by Anesa Hosein
This young lady's dissertation on the Caribs of St Vincent gives a good account. Chatoyer is the National Hero of St Vincent. This black Carib (or Garifuna) fought off the slave masters for many years before succumbing to their evil.
International Women's Rights Action Watch
Despite the myth of strong women heading up female dominated households, this group documents the reality for many women in St Vincent. Let's change things.
John Barnard's Real Estate
John Barnard also has properties in Bequia
A1 Real Estate
Don Providence has a nice selection on the books. He often gets bank foreclosures which can be a bargain.
Caribbean Star Airline
You can book on - line which is good for those using package flights into Barbado.
Liat Airline
LIAT is now offering online booking - about time too!
WE FM radio
Hear what we are hearing here in St Vincent and the Grenadines, check out the news page.
The Vincentian
Recently launched, looking good and probably the most detailed coverage of St Vincent current affairs.
Searchlight Newspaper
Weekly news, more pictures and one of my favourite Vincy columnists - Bassy Alexander. It's a subscription service for the full details but only cheeep.
Caribbean Net News
Up to date daily news from St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Official Vincy Mas website
Mas action, thrills and vibes - well that was Vincy Mas 2005..
